Plumber

Structure: 

This designation reports to the Maintenance Manager

Specific Accountabilities:

Practice safety at all times
Maintenance of water filtration systems and all water utility facilities /equipment including water pumps
Monitoring the septic systems and ensuring timely emptying is done
Understand and operate advanced plumbing operation
Respond and attend to guests’ plumbing requests
Communicate with Team Leader to resolve any plumbing issues
Makes periodic rounds to all areas to support plumbing concerns and log of conditions observed
Responsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and P/M records
Update the work order log book and inform the Team Leader on the status of work done
Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and any other plumbing issues
Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments
Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks
Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the management

Educational and Experience Requirements:

At least 3 years similar work experience
Certification in Plumbing systems
Standard of spoken and written English
Flexible working hours subject to the demands of the business and ability to handle demanding schedules and providing technical support on process and quality improvement
Ability to remain productivity when being pulled in many different directions and flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Able to work under pressure with positive attitude
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, Excellent grooming standard
